I tried to draw his little scruff, but It looked really bad. I had to ask other Coldplayers for their opinion upon the subject, and the without-beard look won :) I don’t actually think Guy has ever worn this outfit, but I really needed him to be wearing more color, so I mixed and matched his clothes:P This is part 3 out of 5 for the Chibi Band Project !

continuousflowofart: Coldplay Albums Personified → Parachutes (2000)November 28th, 2012 I decided to do Parachutes next. This is Coldplay’s first full length album, and the oldest one of course. It’s over 12 years old now, so I drew a boy about that age. This stage is pretty awkward for a person i think, because they’re not a kid anymore, yet they’re not a full blown teenager, or adult. Due to lack of experience with love, or with even the world in general, a person this age would be open-hearted and innocent. When Chris and the rest of the band made this album, they were in a transitioning period as well. They were still kids in a sense. They hadn’t been anywhere but home and London, where college was the gateway into the world. They were young men growing up. Parachutes was an album, in my opinion, centered around love. Chris was being, for lack of a better term, friend zoned a lot. The rejection Chris must have felt come to the surface with songs like Shiver. Other songs just show pure devotion for a person, like Yellow. There are many different ways to interpret the songs within this album, but I just feel as if they were all centered around love. In turn, the person I drew looks shy and sweet. He’s blushing and holding a love note. He’s in the same state as I imagine Chris was at the time; falling in love easily. crushing hard. The acoustic guitar seems to be the center instrument in Parachutes, being in almost every song. So or course, I had to draw in the guitar.
